TRANS GROUPS

NOTTS TRANS HUB

Notts Trans Hub is a website created for the safer space guidelines and to provide support for trans community organising in Notts.

Subscribing to Notts Trans Hub will bring you their monthly bulletin. This is a way of sharing information with anyone interested without them being deluged with lots of emails – services, supporters, and trans folks can send us information to put in the bulletin (to trustees@nottstranshub.org) and we will share it in the monthly email.

Includes a facilitated trans support group in Nottingham that meets on the first Monday of each month.  There will be at least 2 community trained volunteer facilitators present at all times, and one will always be trans.

The group will be open to, and supportive of, anyone over 18 who feels they fit/belong under the “trans umbrella” – this includes those questioning, part time, or not out, and all non-binary and genderqueer identities as well as all those identifying as transgender or transsexual, or with a transgender or transsexual history.

Trans members may also bring up to two supporters. The group will meet in a privately hired room. The building is close to city centre, public transport, and on street metered parking. There is space to get changed, gender neutral toilets, break away space. We will try and have a structure to the evening but nothing too formal. At the start, supporters and trans members can mingle, get a drink and a biscuit.

NOTTINGHAM INVASION Trans group which meets regularly for a pub crawl.

Usually every third Friday, starting at 8pm at the New Foresters. Details are on their Facebook page. See https://www.facebook.com/groups/177230155703775/?fref=ts

You can use the contact form on https://www.nottinghamchameleons.co.uk/ to find out more.

LGBTQ+ MEETUPS A safe space for LGBT people to meet, drink, chat and make friends.

We’re a discrete group, so we won’t ever have “LGBT” signs or big rainbow flags about, so don’t worry if you’re not out/partially out.

New people join all the time, so don’t feel nervous about coming along for the first time. We’re a friendly bunch and there’s usually a couple of first-timers at each meet up.  The group was founded for people in their 20s and 30s to meet up.  Regular meetings take place and details are posted on the website, which is now a Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/nottinghamLGBT20sand30s/

LGBT PARENTS MIDLANDS We are a group that would like to meet and socialise with other gay/lesbian parents and families for friendship and support.

This is a safe space for you to talk about your experiences with others who understand. It’s also an opportunity to make new friends and become part of a community We meet in the Robin Hood Community pub and spend a couple of hours using their brilliant facilities, including outside bowling alley, a board game area, workshop space, and much more.
